Wedding party

With my wife, I went to a wedding party in Aoyama. I've looked forward to this day since I bought a nice new flashgun and wanted to try it. Superb French food was another one that I was looking forward to. Wedding, good for him. :)

Congratulations to your friend. I do wish him and his wife much happiness.

In a recent survey in Japan, respondents included 200 married people age 20-40 and 800 people in the 40-70 age group. Broken down by the problem areas, the biggest points of contention (with number of women's responses in parentheses), in descending order, centered on his (or her) personality, with 158 responses (217); the attitude toward money, 93 (111); and meals or housework 119 (83). Then came sexual relations 120 (50); household income 31 (119); and child rearing 44 (69).

From the above, it's apparent that a Japanese husband expects his wife to be cheerful, uncomplaining, thrifty and good in bed, while a wife wants her husband to be attentive and generous.

Does this survey appear to be true?

The survey looks plausible to me, but your interpretation seems to be
biased. I don't know where all those adjectives come from. Also,
concering about sexual relationship doesn't necessarily mean expecting
a spouse to be good in bed. Sometimes, people want thier spouse to be
less eager about having sex. It's unfortunate when one of the parties
want more and the other don't take it as seriously.

My apologies for the use of vague and ambigious idioms. The phrase "good in bed" could very well be interpreted in various ways depending upon an individual's cultural and social background along with sexual experience. Your use of the phrase "less eager" appears to refer to the intent of one spouse or another prior to the act. Notably, the intent preceding the act itself. What is left unsaid is the level of action or contentment during and following the act, which in no small part will characterize whether an individual is "good in bed".
